NAME: Miss MARSHA MALLISSA MALOONE

With a loving family for support Marsha is number three out of four children. She was born in the industrious community of Mahaut.

At the age of two she went to the village of Penville to live with her grandparents, because of the employment opportunity of her family. There she was educated at the Penville Government School and continued on to the Portsmouth Secondary School (1995-2000), where she focused on Sciences and Foreign Languages, more particularly French.

Realizing that education is the gateway to success, Marsha furthered her education at the Clifton Dupigny Community College (2000-2002) where she majored in Advanced Level French, Sociology and General Paper (English).

Upon completion of college, she taught French at the Nehemiah Comprehensive Secondary School. She is presently employed with HTS Orange Boutique as a Customer Service Representative, where she continues to develop her interpersonal relationship skills.

Being an ambitious, industrious and open-minded individual, she believes in working diligently to achieve her goals. She enjoys reading, socializing, corresponding with friends and learning languages.

During her teenage years Marsha suffered from acne, she came to the realization that acne is a much bigger problem than one thinks. It not only affects ones skin, it also affects ones emotion and self-esteem, hence her interest in Dermatology.

Statement:

“Entering the 2006 Carnival Queen Competition, provides me with an opportunity to showcase my talents, and beauty with a combination of intelligence; but most importantly, my love for culture.

If I can help just one individual suffering from acne to understand the disease or related diseases, it would make my cause meaningful.
