I was born on the French side of St Martin, on December 17th 1986, under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius, and named Lise by my father.

I am a Graduate of the Dominica State College, having completed the Administrative Office Assistant Degree.

I am an ambitious, independent, loving, talented, well-rounded beauty from the community of La Plaine situated on the southeastern side of Dominica. Indeed, La Plaine boasts of the most scenic sites for nature lovers, and a perfect get-away to visitors searching for rest and relaxation.

In my leisure time I enjoy reading, surfing the Internet, traveling and dancing. From the tender age of 12 I derived pleasure by expressing myself through singing and dancing and have developed a love for the stage, and by extension, all types of beauty pageants. I aspire to become a Professional Fashion Designer.

It is because of this passion and having participated in Miss Wob Dwyet, and Miss South East where I emerged the winner that I have decided to become involved in the 2006 Carnival activities as a contestant in the Carnival Queen Show. This will provide me with the opportunity to be a role model to the youth in the community, to display my talents, and in addition, to contribute to Dominica’s culture.

My philosophy on life is that “faith” is the strongest tool needed to conquer all trials and tribulations faced in our daily lives, which stems to deepen our knowledge and allows us to acknowledge the finer things of existence. By so doing there is little chance of duplicating experiences.

I have chosen AIDS/HIV, as my platform mainly because of a personal experience of having lost loved ones to this fatal disease, for which my feelings run intensely deep. I am at a loss for words to express my feelings towards this rising epidemic, a disease for which there is no cure, and for which a cure may never be found, because of its complexity. It is my goal to use this forum to enlighten and educate the public at large, to be weary of AIDS/HIV, which is alive in our society – a hidden killer. We are, none of us, immune.
