Gramacks band releases new album makes radio appearance

Washington, DC (TDN) -- The Gramacks band has released their latest album called “Paka Largez”. The album features ten songs with varied beats highlighting the cadence and zouk including “Your hands”, Pakalagez, Come inside, Voleur, Travailler, Gardez Debaz, Heel and Toe, Mwenwe, Margrez Ca, Lavie and Laterre raid.”

This is the second album in two years released by the original members of the band and the first since the passing of Jeff Joseph last October. The legendary Gramacks with hits like Soukouyant, Mis Debaz, and La Vie Disco was for many years the leading cadence band in the world.

At the height of their fame, the band performed at the Super Bowl in the United States and Europe’s Tour de France, the world’s premier bicycling race.

Linford ‘Acrab’ John is the lead vocalist with musical accompaniment provided by Anthony ‘Tepam’ George, Elon ‘Bolo’ Rodney, and George ‘Freresoul’ Thomas.

The band members will speak to host Thomson Fontaine on “This Week in Interview” at 8 P.M on Wednesday May 2, 2012. The show will be aired live on Q95 FM radio station in Dominica and TDN Radio at Thedominican.net.
