Nigel George

I am 20-year-old Nigel George and was born on December 26 1985. Presently I reside in the community of Dos D’ane where I obtained my primary education.

I attended the Portsmouth Secondary School from 1995 to 2000 where I emerged as Valedictorian in my graduating class. During my high school years I was an active senior member in the Dos D’ane 4-H Club and co-founded “Rosie’s Crew”, a service club named after the late honorable Roosevelt Douglas. Our main objective was the care of the sick and disabled and to beautify our community.

I am also a graduate of the Clifton Dupigny Community College where I studied Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics and English.

Being an ambitious, dedicated and strong-willed person, it is my goal to become a Certified Public Accountant and a successful entrepreneur. Of interest to me is the huge problem in our society of Domestic Violence against women. I would like to place particular emphasis on methods of prevention rather than a cure. Building self-esteem and confidence in young women and teaching young people different ways of conflict resolution are some areas of focus.

I love music especially Soca, Calypso and Dance Hall; music forms that are all uniquely Caribbean. My hobbies include dancing, singing and meeting people from different cultures. I also enjoy reading fashion magazines, motivational books and traveling.
