Consultancy - Website Designer and Developer

Under an OAS-funded project, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) Office in Barbados is desirous of recruiting an experienced and creative Website Designer and Developer for a short term assignment. The website is intended to support IICA’s Caribbean Agrotourism programme by fostering the creation of a regional research and development network.

The Consultant will research and develop website content featuring agrotourism data from Caribbean countries. Specifically, the website assignment will involve (a) comprehensive research and consultation with key persons in the agriculture and tourism sectors to gather relevant content (b) website design and (c) launch/implementation.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have strong design, development, writing, research, communications and creative skills. S/he will work closely with key IICA personnel to identify, design, and develop content for the site. S/he will have a proven track record of working in website development or marketing of tourism related initiatives. The contract must be fully completed within four months of the start date.
