Roseau, Dominica (TDN) Less than two weeks after a major traffic accident that left five dead there has been yet another road fatality in Dominica. Dead is Zara Shaw from Canefield who was involved in a single car accident on Saturday.

Shaw was travelling on the Edward Oliver Highway close to the village of Coulibistrie when his vehicle registration number TL 566 apparently left the road and slammed into a tree. There were no eyewitnesses to the accident but he was discovered apparently shortly after it happened.

It is believed that Shaw was not wearing a seat belt since his body was ejected from the vehicle on impact.

This is proving to be one of the most serious years with regards to fatalities on the country’s roads in a very long time with several deaths already reported so far for this year
