Court rules that case against Prime Minister Skerrit should move forward

A high court judge in Roseau has ruled that a case brought by the United Workers Party (UWP) against Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and education minister Peter St Jean challenging their legitimacy to serve as parliamentarians should proceed to trial.

Hurricane Danielle expected to become major hurricane

At 1100 P.M. on Monday August 23, 2010, hurricane Danielle with winds of 85 miles per hour was making its way towards the Caribbean.

Danielle was located near latitude 15.6 North, longitude 43.2 or about 800 miles from the Lesser Antilles. It is moving toward the West-Northwest near 20 MPH, and is expected to turn toward the Northwest by late Tuesday.

In a brazen daylight armed robbery, two masked men burst into the offices of the National Development Foundation (NDFD) offices in Roseau on Wednesday at around 3:50 P.M.

The men held up the workers at gunpoint and demanded that they turn over all the cash in their possession. They then made good their escape with an unknown sum of money. No one was hurt in the incident.
