Fort Young Hotel in Dominica.
Roseau, Dominica(TDN) -- The Fort Young Hotel has relaunched its brand to reflect both its unique place in Dominica's history and its ideal position for inquisitive travelers keen to discover the island voted number one in the Caribbean by TripAdvisor in 2013.

The rebrand includes a new logo, new website, and the renaming and refit of its flagship bar and restaurant - all designed to express the centuries' old fort's combination of old world charm and an unrivaled position for exploring Dominica's highlights, both on land and at sea. The new tagline sums it up. Fort Young is The Key to Dominica.

"Fort Young Hotel has been an industry leader in Dominica for many years, for business and as well as dive and adventure travelers," said Gregor Nassief, the hotel's Chairman. "We wanted our branding to reflect our rich history and the fact that our unique location makes us the perfect gateway to explore Dominica and discover its treasures."

The diversity of the Fort Young's offering is best explored on the new website, with its calm, classic design. Its sections cover everything from the Fort's heritage and ideas for honeymoons, to arranging conferences or island hopping.

It reveals that guests can dive some of the best reefs in the Caribbean from its private jetty, and trek off into the rainforests that stretch up the hills behind the hotel.

Or if that sounds too energetic, they can relax in a rooftop Jacuzzi, indulge themselves with a spa treatment, or dine on local specialties in its newly refitted seafront restaurant the Palisades, so named since the word describes the original wooden fortifications, which were built on the very same spot as the restaurant's terrace is today.

Playful references to the Fort's deep connections to Dominica's history can be found throughout the rebranding. The new oceanfront bar Warner’s takes its name from a seventeenth Century half-Carib Indian governor of the Island who held out against the British and the French.

Meanwhile the massage and wellness centre is now Zemi, after the nature spirits worshipped by the pre-Colombian natives of the island. Even children have something special to look forward to, with the new Cannonball club stocked with games and pastimes to keep them entertained.

"We are proud that our hotel is “the Key” that unlocks the treasures of Dominica, and leads our guests to the heart of what makes this island so enchanting," said Marvlyn James, the newly appointed General Manager of the Fort Young. "And with this rebrand, Fort Young is ready to continue its leadership role in Dominica’s rapidly evolving tourism sector."
