Roseau, Dominica (TDN) -- Dominica’s Health Minister, Julius Timothy has fallen ill and on Wednesday afternoon was flown to Martinique by air ambulance for medical treatment.
The cause of his illness is unknown, but Timothy is said to have collapsed in his office earlier in the day. He was treated at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) before being airlifted for further treatment in neighboring Martinique.
Timothy is the former Deputy leader of the United Workers Party who joined the Dominica Labour Party in 2006 where he has served as a cabinet member ever since.
There has been no update on Timothy;s condition and personnel at the PMH have been tight lipped on the cause of his illness.
