We are Kemites

In the spirit of truth, longevity, resilience, distinctiveness and honor I greet you brothers and sisters.
I am Julius S. Lewis. I am the author of two poetry books; namely, �Another Voice� and �The Old Tambou�. I am the recipient of the 1991 National poetry winner in Dominica. I was selected to represent the island in1993 in Trinidad at a conference for black writers of the Caribbean. I consider myself a poet, a messenger, and a philosopher.
(One of the many things we taught the world) We called the love for knowledge (soboyet.) The Greeks called it Sophia, in English we say philosophy. We the philosophers say; �there are two types of education, one that a man can give you, and one that you can give yourself, of the two, the later is by far, better.�
My reasons for these few lines are to bring awareness to that fact that we are still carrying our oppressor�s name and that we should rename ourselves. To say we are African American is to admit that the Romans are still our masters. In the spirit of truth and honor we are Kemitic-Americans, etc, or simple Kemites.
The Greeks called us Egyptians, (it was their word for black people.) The Romans called us Africans. We say we were created from a black substance from the ground we called KMT or Kemet. We called ourselves Kemites we called our science, or our highest spiritual principle, Alkemi and we called the land Kemet or Alkebulan (Land of ultimate black science.)
The word chemistry was deduced from Alkemi or Alchemy. The �AL� in Kemet signified first and or ultimate, or to the highest power i.e. Almighty. Our formula for letters and signs we called Alphabet. Our highest form of mathematics we call Algebra.
Allegory was the art of deducing truth from myth, or from proverbs. Alcohol was used by the priest to commune with the spirits-to this day they are called spirits. The highest point of sacrifice was called Altar. What science call melanin is, in part, what we call KMT.
I would suggest we rename ourselves and we proclaim July 4th as our �Nominal� Independence. At the same time we should recognize it as a celebration of our longevity, resilience, and our distinctiveness. We have more in common with July 4th than any other people under the sun.
It is our date, our knowledge they stole. July 4th is exactly 13 days after the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere and it is the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere, what we know today as June 21. One of our many calendars started one day after the solar solstice.
It was Khepera�the brain, the scarab beetle; it represented consciousness, and intelligence, or rather the double consciousness. Thus the spontaneous rising of Khepera represented intelligence from consciousness-our first act of creation.
It was a year true, but there was also a spiritual and a cosmic connection. It is important to know that we are the only people who built a spiritual, moral and political empire that lasted for thousands of years without any major internal conflicts.
There was nothing evil about the number 13 in ancient times. And the so called founding fathers knew that. That is why there are 13 layers of stones on the pyramid on the dollar bill, 13 little swords, 13 leave, 13 stripes, and 13 letters.
The original 13 states were also planned, and the year 1776 is partly tired in the number 13, 7 and 6 are 13. In fact, the �Republic of Franklin�, the 14th state was rejected and it was an independent state for a while. (Source: �that�s not in my American history book� by: Thomas Ayres) This is why there are twelve jurors and a judge.
Unlike us we had a celestial connection to link with it. Khepera being the first sign of the 12 signs and the sun make 13. So they chose 13 days in the 1st month of our new year. And the 13 amendment, by the way, was in connection with the slaves, coincidence, maybe.
Today the Romans are trying to take credit for the (celestial girdle) so called zodiac when in reality, their calendar was based on 304 days, which they most likely copied from the Greeks and used it for over five hundred years.
They later readjusted it to 355days and by 46bce they corrected it after going to Kemet to find out how long the year was. And in so doing they have replaced the scarab with the crab in an effort to claim it.
We were ruled by 13 tribes in ancient times most of them have moved back to central Alkebulan and are still carrying their sub-names, like Akans, and Dogans, among others.
We had many calendars but the most important calendar was the Great Year. The Great Year is 26,000 years that is 13 plus13. Asur /Orion rules for 13,000 years high and 13,000 years low.
The lowest star in Orion�s belt is perfectly aligned to the shaft of the so called king�s chamber of the great pyramid at its lowest point. It will take 26,000 years for it to reoccur. It is surely of interest to note that this star was called Al Nitak.
Evidence alludes to the fact that the eye, along with the pyramid on the dollar is not original with western man thoughts. It was stolen and so to be the date for an independence that they could have gotten without much bloodshed. (Too bad, Gandhi was a couple hundreds years too late.)
For this reasons I think we should reclaim it. This might also explain why the masses don�t know why the declaration of independence was signed on that day. They didn�t want to reveal the Kemitic source.
With the Kemitic art of geodesy, the science of building structures on the ground in accordance with the cosmos, we have demonstrated an incredible knowledge of sophisticated celestial co-ordinates with great precision linking the cosmic order with multiple structures on the ground simultaneously at a precise time.
These co-ordinates were also amalgamated in maintaining a complex network of interrelated, interfertile, interconnected, interdependent, intergalactic, interdisciplinary, and to an extent interchangeable symbols, names, times, principles and concepts.
Man�s greatest challenge has always been to know what is not known to man. Thus so far, no other people have demonstrated such great interest, or rather an obsession in acquiring spiritual knowledge.
When the dust of bigotry settle, when �religious� egos can rise no more, and man�s love for love, is greater than love, and his search for truth is stronger than truth itself, then, and only then, our achievements will be physically credited to the positive side of the human karma.
The Romans, after whom we are named, were a ferocious and barbaric people. That fact was also demonstrated in their pastime sport, where they used slaves as gladiators, fighting each other until death, and against wild animals. They found great pleasure in this horrible amusement.
�The Romans massacred the last Kemitic priests in 391 in Mamfe, Kemet.�(Source-The Africans Who Wrote The Bible-by Nana Banchie Darkwah-Ph.D) Then someone got famous for deciphering our writings. We know Rome had the first bloodiest slave revolt in history.
It took the Romans two years to suppress it. �Spartacus, the slave rebellion leader, and 6�000 slaves who finally surrendered were crucified along the apian way which stretches for over a hundred miles with the victims crucified on each side of the apian way.
As Cleopatra, who visited Rome about 14 years later said, �some of the crosses were still hanging with bones�.� (Source-The Royal Diaries-Cleopatra V11-by Kristiana Gregory) Crucifixion was the punishment for the salves. St. Johns, now part of the US Virgins Islands had the second bloodiest slave rebellion in history where in 1733, the slaves whipped out the Danes, but a few years later they where suppress by the French.
Haiti we all know had the only successful slave rebellion in history. I am not overlooking the countless rebellions in America, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Guyana, Jamaica, and Dominica among others. Dr. John Hendricks Clarks once said; �slaves and dogs are named by the masters, free men name themselves.�
By renaming ourselves we are beginning to rewrite history, and we are rising again from all the deformity of the whips, and chains.
These two mass murderers, Alexander and Columbus, are western man poster boys. I will use either one as a metaphor. This year �Columbus� apologizes for slavery and Jim Crow. Then, I will argue that it is we who civilized �Columbus� We were the ones who told him colonization was wrong, by virtue of our resilience.
We were the ones who told him slavery was wrong by our rebellions. We were the ones who told him Jim Crow was wrong, with civil disobedience; matches, demonstration, and speeches.
And if he will build a multi-million dollars museum in Washington DC to commemorate the Jewish Holocaust, when a single American did not die there, and not build a marked graved for a slave, well then, this should give us a another reason to remind him of his hypocrisy and shameful past and the fact that they are poorly addressing our current issues.
I say we have to remind him every July 4th of our ancestor�s blood and our tears that watered this land. July 4th 2009 should mark the beginning or our liberation/independence day, as we name ourselves again and celebrate our progress, our longevity, our resilience, and our distinctiveness.
As bro. Bob Marley would say; �know who you are and where you stand in the struggle.� We are a very strong and spiritual minded people. We are rising once again.
We were driven out but not captured. We were captured but not enslaved. We were enslaved but not beaten. We were beaten but not lynched. We were lynched but we didn�t die. We died but we did not perish! I have risen, you have risen, and we will rise again! We are the kemites! I go in peace.
My conclusion is in following with the Kemitic principles.
