Miss Wob Dwiyet New Jersey

Dominicans living in the United States will have an opportunity to witness their country�s rich cultural heritage with the staging of the New Jersey Wob Dwiyet competition. The activity in honor of Dominica�s twenty-fifth independence celebrations is organized by the Dominica Emerald Organization of New Jersey (DEONJ).

Six young ladies from the Dominican Diaspora; Janelle Telemacque, Saraya Timothy, Kimberly James, Donna Alexander, Bianca Buckley and Adissa Francis will vie for the coveted Miss Wob Dwiyet crown. The featured presentation will also see performances in Dominican Quadrille, Jing-Ping and Cocoy Torey.

The competition is scheduled for October 25, 2003 at 4:30 pm at the Ukranian Cultural Center, 140 Prospect Place Irvington, New Jersey.
