The Windsor Park Stadium has hosted test cricket matches.
Roseau, Dominica (TDN) The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has confirmed that the cricket pitch at the Windsor Park Stadium is under investigation following the third round match between Windward Islands Volcanoes and Leeward Islands Hurricanes in the Professional Cricket League Regional 4-Day Tournament over the weekend.

The Volcanoes routed the Hurricanes in less than two days in a dramatic eight-wicket victory at the Windsor Park in Roseau Dominica. Batting first the Hurricanes declared at 24 for 7 before lunch on the first day. In response the Volcanoes posted 140 all out thanks in large part to a top score of 62 by opener Tyrone Theophile.

In the second innings the Hurricanes posted 170 all out with Nkrumah Bonner stroking his third half-century in the series. WIndwards then finished the match by getting the required 55 for the loss of one wicket.

WICB director of cricket Richard Pybus will gather the reports of the match referee and umpires, as well as captains and coaches of each team, along with officials of the Volcanoes franchise regarding the preparation and performance of the pitch.

“We will speak to all of the relevant parties to get a clear picture of what took place at Windsor Park and decide on the course of action once we have reviewed all the reports,” Pybus stated.

Just one week before in a match that Jamaica would eventually win the Windwards had backed up Jamaica to 25 for 7 before they rallied to score 118 all out in the second innings.

Last weekend saw the end of the third round of competition and that is the first time any of the pitches has been investigated.
