Dominica and Malaysian University signs MOU to establish international campus

Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia (TDN) Dominica’s Ambassador at Large Emmanuel Nanthan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dato’ Gail Phung, Limkokwing University’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.

The MOU will establish the Global Campus initiative in Dominica where students enrolled in the ecosystem program will have the opportunity to pursue part of their studies in Dominica. It will also be opened to Dominican students wishing to specialize in travel, tourism and hospitality management and other disciplines of interest to Dominica’s development.

“Your school has done tremendous work in Asia and Africa and we believe that the frontier of The Caribbean and Latin America and North America is a tremendous potential for the good work done by this great institution”, Nanthan commented.

Other members of the Dominica delegation included attorney Alick Lawrence and Environment minister Dr Kenneth Darroux. Limkokwing University is headquartered in Malaysia.
