St Joseph, Dominica (TDN) -- [UPDATE] Police in Dominica arrested a man believed to be responsible for shooting two individuals in the West coast village of St Joseph.
On Tuesday night shots rang out following an altercation between two individuals over what some believed was a debt dispute. Police now say it was over $2. One individual was reportedly shot in the neck and stomach and another in the leg.
Reports reaching TDN indicate that the shooter has been identified as Christopher Sylvester a popular local calypsonian going by the name of Chris B.
During the 2014 calypso season, Chris B won Monarch of the Stardom Calypso Tent and was one of the finalists at the National competition.
Meanwhile the St Joseph Village Council has strongly condemned the shooting incident and called on residents to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
